  My Favourite Actor  A shining star in the Sri Lankan arts industry, Jackson Anthony can truly be recognised as one of the greatest talents in the country. He was not only an actor, but also a director, singer, presenter, and even a respected teacher. Among his films, my favourite is Aba , which I admire very much. He contributed not only to cinema but also to teledramas. I am especially fond of his exploratory television program Kalu Ganga Dige. He was a person who deeply loved natural beauty. His ability to fully immerse himself in a character, along with his powerful voice and expressive acting skills, earned him a special place in the field of art. He rendered a valuable service to the Sri Lankan arts industry and was someone who truly loved his craft. Although his sudden passing was a great loss to Sri Lankan art, his creative works remain forever unforgettable. 💖

 A Memorable Day 💝                 Everyone has special memories in their lives. I also have a very special and beautiful memory in my life. Some memories bring us happiness, while some others bring tears to our eyes and make us feel sad. When I talk about the special memory in my life, it is a beautiful memory that brought me happiness and tears of joy. It was the day I was selected for the university that I really wanted to enter. That day can be considered the most special day in my life. It was a very happy day not only for me but also for my parents. I still remember their happy faces, the way they congratulated me, and the way they hugged me with love. It is something I will never forget. I wish that everyone’s life will be filled with happy and beautiful memories.💚

  A Relief to the Mind  I am a person who truly loves freedom. The place where I most enjoy spending my free time is near the lake behind my house. Whenever I have some free time, I make a delicious cup of tea, take my favorite book, and sit under a tree that bends towards the lake. While sipping a few mouthfuls of tea, I read a few pages of my book. This brings freedom and happiness to my mind. After reading for a while, I love to look at the lake. I enjoy picking a small bunch of wildflowers, admiring their beauty and fragrance, feeling the cool breeze, and watching the gentle waves rising on the lake. The sky above the lake is so calm and peaceful. Spending time in the beautiful places near my home and enjoying freedom and happiness brings great comfort to my mind.

 A Home Filled with Happiness  My family is a family filled with happiness. There are five members in my family: my mother, my father, my brother, my sister, and me. We live in a small house in a rural town. All five of us live together happily and in harmony. The strength of my family is my father and mother. They live with us in great unity and love. Even though my father is very busy with his job, he always spends as much time as possible with our family. Both my parents are very kind and strong individuals. My mother is like a huge tree that gives shade to our little family, strong and protective. Since I am the youngest in the family, my brother and sister take care of me with love. We live happily and peacefully because of the love of my mother and father. I always pray that the unity of our family will remain the same forever. ❤️

  My Favorite Day 💖 My favorite day is Sunday. I like that day very much. On Sundays, I do not have any special work to do, so I wake up a little late. I like to spend the day happily and freely. On Sundays, my mother prepares a delicious breakfast at home for me. I enjoy eating it slowly and peacefully. I spend time with my family on Sundays. Since everyone in my family stays at home on that day, I love Sunday even more. Sometimes, I go to meet my friends or watch a movie, which helps me relax my mind. I prepare for the new week’s work on Sunday. Sunday is a very calm and beautiful day. I love that day very much. 

 This Morning  I woke up early in the morning and, as usual, stood looking at the paddy field next to my house. However, unlike other days, the paddy stalks did not shine brightly in the sunlight. I lifted my head and looked up at the sky. The blue sky had disappeared, covered instead with dark rain clouds. A few tiny raindrops, almost too small to notice, fell on me, and I felt a strong chill run through my body. As usual, my mother prepared a delicious cup of hot tea for me. While sipping it, I continued to gaze at the paddy field. The paddy stalks were heavy with grain. Dewdrops slowly slid down from the  leaves and fell gently to the ground. That sight was truly pleasing to my heart. The birds that usually wandered here and there in search of food were not seen today. The drizzle had stopped, and without even realizing it, I had spent a long time there. It was only when my mother called out to me that I became aware of the time.   Rajanganaya  🌄   Rajanganaya, which was created under the name “Royal Garden,” is the beautiful village where I was born. This ancient village is located in the Anuradhapura District of Sri Lanka and was established during the period of the Anuradhapura Kingdom. Rajanganaya has gained special value because of the Rajanganaya Reservoir located there. This reservoir provides water for farming activities during the dry season. Due to the irrigation system connected to the tank, this area is well known for agricultural activities.  A large variety of birds and animals live around the Rajanganaya Reservoir area. The skill of ancient kings in conserving water can clearly be seen through this reservoir. Today, especially during the rainy season, many tourists visit the reservoir area.  The lives of the people in my village are very simple and beautiful. The calmness of the village brings peace to the mind. I truly love living while enjoying the beauty of my village...

 The Aukana Buddha Statue  Sri Lanka is a country where history, religion, and artistic heritage are closely intertwined. Among these heritages, the Aukana Buddha Statue holds a special place. It is not only a site of worship for Buddhists, but also a reflection of Sri Lankan artistic skill and ancient technology. This statue is considered one of the finest creations of Sri Lankan art.  It is believed that the statue was created in the 5th century AD during the reign of King Dhatusena. The Aukana Buddha Statue is located in the Anuradhapura District, near the Kala Oya. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is the largest standing Buddha statue carved from a single rock face. It is an outstanding masterpiece of stone carving.  The statue stands over 40 feet tall. It is a sacred place of worship for Buddhists and a symbol of Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage.  My Best Friend  I have always seen her as a tiny little fairy. Her name is Achini. She is short and slim, and very beautiful. She had soft, curly hair that fell gently, and her face carried a fair complexion with a rosy glow. She is a pretty girl, like a little flower. She loves acting very much and is an excellent listener. During the sad and happy moments of my life, she has always stayed right by my side. I truly admire her qualities. She is my best friend, and I am hers. Our friendship is about 19 years old. She is my protector. Whenever she notices a mistake I make, she always tries to guide me in the right direction. Even though she is married now, Constantly searching for my happiness and sorrow.  To me, she feels more like my own sister than just a friend. I hope our sisterhood will continue forever. 💗 

    A simple birthday celebration 🎂🎊 A birthday is a special day that comes once a year. I like to celebrate this day simply, without big parties. Even without grand celebrations, I truly enjoy engaging in religious activities that bring happiness and peace to my heart. On my birthday morning, I wake up early and go to pay my respects at the Sri Maha Bodhi and the Ruwanwelisaya. When I return home, my family surprises me with a delicious cake prepared especially for me and some very precious gifts, which make me truly happy. From my childhood, I have always celebrated my birthday in a very simple way. I love spending my birthday with my family. Just like today, I will continue to celebrate my birthdays simply in the future as well. On this birthday, I would like to thank everyone in my family who loves me. 💖

 My Country 💗 The country where I was born is Sri Lanka. My country is enriched with a history of more than 2,500 years. Sri Lanka is also known as the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean.” It is a small island nation, yet despite its limited land area, my country is beautifully adorned with immense diversity. Sri Lanka can be identified as a country blessed with a vast range of natural resources. It is a nation where people who follow Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity live together in harmony. Due to the beauty found in my country, Sri Lanka has gained a high level of attraction among foreigners. It is a country with remarkable cultural diversity.
